Matching Gift Programs - Double or Triple the Power of Your Donations!

Did You Know?

When you make a donation to Cancer Warrior Inc. the company you work for may offer a donation match. Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. Most of these programs match contributions dollar for dollar, and some will even double or triple the amount of your donation!

How Do I Find Out?

When you make a donation to Cancer Warrior Inc., you will receive a receipt. To find out if your employee has a matching gift policy, you can contact your Human Resources Benefits Team via telephone or look on your company’s website, navigate to the Human Resources Page and search for “Benefits.”

Some companies even have a direct link on their website, where you can simply add the non-profit name and then you will be prompted to upload your receipt. The company will then match the donation up to a certain dollar amount per year.

Make A Larger Impact

With matching gift programs, your donation will make a larger impact and go further in helping those with cancer get the treatments they need, improving their chances at beating cancer.

Check with your Human Resources Department today to see what matching gift programs they support.

CWI helps ease financial pressure for cancer patients. Whether treatment recommendations are covered by insurance or not, CWI's mission is to help the patient by making funds available for the treatments of their choice.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October. The beginning of fall. Cooler weather. Football season. Baseball playoffs. Pumpkin spice delicacies in full array at your favorite coffee house (and elsewhere!). Halloween just around the corner. Ubiquitous pink ribbons.

Yes, it’s that time of year… Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Women are advised to schedule mammograms. (A radiation-free alternative is thermography.)

If you are not familiar with thermography, it is definitely worth taking time to research.) We hear all of the heartbreaking statistics, and the fact is breast cancer is likely to impact the lives of most people…whether it’s you or a loved one. According to the World Cancer Research Fund and American Institute for Cancer Research, worldwide “Breast cancer is the most commonly occurring cancer in women and the second most common cancer overall.” During October, companies and sports leagues use significant campaigns to highlight breast cancer awareness and help fund research…a worthy and important goal, as we seek breakthroughs in treatment, prevention, and ideally a cure.

Cancer Warrior Inc. will soon be adding an educational element to our site, offering online reads for “How Money Works.” This if for everyone! The basics of how money works may help us all in preventing financial disaster in the wake of illness. If you have not yet given thought and planning to your financial future, now is a good time to begin. Take the time to learn how money works so that you and loved ones may be prepared in times of trouble.
